Ascetic Practices is a contemporary goth clubnight run by The Nightlark, Moth Girl, Sacred Keys & philomenah.
The music played is modern Gothic Dark Synth, Post Punk, EBM, Deathrock, Industrial, Coldwave, Electropop & Synthwave. Each night also functions as a release party for a new fanzine put together by the team. The fanzine can only be picked up at the events, no represses will be made, and they will not be online in any form.
Each event in 2025 has taken place in a different venue, from Paradise Palms, West Port Oracle’s Flight Club, Banshee Labyrinth, Leith Cricket Club, Leith Arches, People’s Leisure Club, and The Wee Red Bar. The 2026 venue we have chosen to become the home for the party is the basement club at Banshee Labyrinth.
